RSPB Energy: make the switch to 'green' electricity

Bewick's swans over RSPB Ouse Washes nature reserve at dawn
Switching to RSPB Energy promotes use of 'green energy' and helps buy land for RSPB nature reserves

Why not switch your home electricity supply to RSPB Energy, one of the most environmentally-friendly energy schemes in the UK?

Signing up is easy - you can do it over the phone (Freephone 0800 0288 552) or online via the link on this page.

Here are some more details about why you should make the switch...

  • RSPB Energy helps birds
For every household signing up to RSPB Energy, £20 will be donated to the RSPB (£10 for an electricity account and £10 for a gas account; you can sign up for either or both). An additional £10 (£5 for electricity and £5 for gas) will be contributed each year you remain with the scheme. These funds are used to acquire and manage land for nature reserves, to provide a future for wildlife endangered by the effects of climate change.
  • RSPB Energy helps the environment
RSPB Energy promotes renewable energy: every unit of electricity you buy will be matched with electricity generated from renewable sources. What's more, some of the money raised by RSPB Energy goes into a fund to invest in renewable energy projects on RSPB nature reserves. Generating electricity from renewable sources is a cleaner, greener alternative to burning fossil fuels (which releases huge amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, increasing the risk of climate change).

RSPB Energy is a premium product so it does cost a little more than the Scottish and Southern standard tariff. You can ask about prices by calling the freephone number below. RSPB Energy may be competitively price compared to your existing provider especially if you have not switched before.

Switch to RSPB Energy today - and help birds, the environment and the RSPB

Electricity from RSPB Energy helps to maintain demand for renewable energy production. RSPB Energy customers are using renewable electricity approved by the RSPB - a founder member of Stop Climate Chaos.

RSPB Energy's electricity and natural gas are supplied by Scottish and Southern Energy PLC, which supplies over 40% of the renewable energy in the UK.

To accelerate the move to renewable electricity sources by signing up to RSPB Energy, contact the RSPB Energy Welcomeline on Freephone 0800 0288 552 or click the link on this page.
